Providers / Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) and LA County SUD System of Care
For the past several years, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s Division of Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) has successfully engaged in a period of unprecedented opportunity to transform
its substance use disorder (SUD) system of care under the California Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (
DMC-ODS).
DMC ODS paved the way for SAPC to strengthen and increase access to SUD treatment services for adolescents and adults who are Medi-Cal eligible.
Now, DHCS’ California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (
CalAIM) strengthens the County’s publicly funded treatment system by better aligning health, mental health and substance use treatment services,
streamlining access to care, and expanding innovate person-centered treatment designs, practices and standards aimed at improving health outcomes.
SAPC is committed to the success of this transformation, which depends on crucial collaborations between its contracted network of treatment providers, other Health Departments, people with lived experience,
and community stakeholders to ensure more equitable and coordinated approaches to SUD treatment and recovery for Los Angeles County residents with SUD.
