Rabies Map 2024
Rabid bats are found
every year in Los Angeles County.
The map at right show
locations where rabid bats were found in 2024. Note that areas on the maps without red stars
can still have rabid bats. Rabid bat #1 is not
shown since it was originally found in Riverside
County. Red stars represent
bats that have tested positive for rabies after
they were found near people or pets, then
reported to Animal Control and then tested by
Public Health.
