Public Health Nurses assess the health needs of individuals and families in their communities, work with other health professionals to implement community outreach programs, and provide information about health care and health care issues affecting their communities.

Public Health Investigators provide counseling and medical referrals to individuals diagnosed or exposed to STD's or HIV and assist with investigations to prevent the spread of tuberculosis (TB) and other communicable diseases.
