The PHN Practice Exercises are activities designed to strengthen public health nurses' understanding of the model. Each exercise has three components:

1. A newspaper article on a timely public health topic;
2. A worksheet that takes the public health nurse through an analysis of the article based on the PHN Practice Model;
An answer sheet for the worksheet.

These exercises may be used as self-learning modules or for group activities, lead by a facilitator. They have been utilized successfully in nursing curricula and by public health nurses at all levels.  The documents on this page are created as pdf files.
