The 2007 Women’s Health Policy Summit included presentations from a diverse group of experts on some of today’s most pressing women’s health issues. The morning panelists introduced the Summit's overarching themes detailing the health disparities existing among women in Los Angeles County. The presentations given during the morning workgroups focused on the respective workgroup theme. Speakers framed their workgroup’s issues with the topic’s main themes, current research, and next steps.
Dr. Vivian Pinn delivered a dynamic and comprehensive Keynote Address outlining the tremendous progress we've made in women’s health and the challenges and opportunities we continue to face.
The presentations set the tone for the remainder of the day, assisting the workgroups as they explored the issues and developed the policy recommendations which were delivered to the Listening Panel at the end of the day.
