In 2003, 742 people died from poisoning. Among these deaths, most were unintentional, followed by suicide-related poisonings.

 

 

 

In 2003, most deaths due to suicide-related poisoning were among ages 21-64.  

 

In 2003, most unintentional-related poisoning deaths were among ages 21-64.  

 

In 2003, 5,839 people were hospitalized due to poisonings, with nearly half suicide-related and half unintentional-related poisoning.  

 

In 2003, more of ages 21-44 were hospitalized due to suicide-related poisonings.
