The Strategic National
Stockpile (SNS) Unit is responsible for developing and
maintaining the county-wide plan for receiving,
distributing and dispensing national stockpile assets;
coordinating with Federal, State and local agencies;
providing technical assistance to various entities to
enhance the capacity of Los Angeles area to rapidly
dispense prophylaxis to the population; and establishing
and maintaining the logistical infrastructure for
receiving, staging and storing distributing and
inventory management of stockpile assets, including
local caches.
