World AIDS Day 2001
World AIDS Day, the annual event designed to strengthen global efforts to address the challenges of the AIDS pandemic, will be observed on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001. The Los Angeles County Office of AIDS Programs and Policy (OAPP) is sponsoring a kick-off breakfast and program as part of countywide events to mark the day at The Music Center, 135 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, California.
This annual event offers our community a unique opportunity to honor those whom we have lost to HIV/AIDS. It also presents us with a chance to rededicate ourselves to the vitally important work of caring for those living with the disease and preventing its spread in Los Angeles County.
