What is the County of Los Angeles doing?

The Board of Supervisors responded to this epidemic by allocating $1.75 million dollars for a methamphetamine prevention, intervention, education and treatment program (click here for memo). The Department of Public Health’s Alcohol and Drug Program Administration (ADPA) and Office of AIDS Programs and Policy (OAPP) are working in partnership to implement this program. The program has 5 components:

• Treatment
• Prevention
• Community Level Prevention
• Training
• Evaluation
