Scabies Toolkit: Acute and Sub-acute Health Care Facilities
The contents of this toolkit were developed in 2009 by the Los Angeles
County Department of Public Health, Scabies Task Force in response to
the increased number of scabies outbreaks within Acute and Sub-Acute
Care Facilities in Los Angeles County. The education provided is based
on the Scabies Prevention and Control Guidelines Acute and Sub-Acute
Care Facilities, 2009.
The toolkit contains the following materials to assist health care
facilities in managing scabies outbreaks and educating health care
workers on identification, transmission, signs and symptoms, and
treatment of scabies.
